Tonight I’ll be taking one of my original works Cardiff Bay to the Critique Night at the South Wales Aart Society Meeting. There will also be a representative from the restaurant ‘Steak of the Art’.
‘Cardiff Bay’ is a striking painting in acrylic of Cardiff Bay. It is a montage not so scale or location, but an impression. The red structure at the centre is The Pierhead Building, where the artist had a solo exhibition in 2015. To the right of the Pierhead is the Senedd, a unique eco building where the Welsh Government meet. The background is a representation of Castell Coch (the Red Castle) which is one of Wales’ most popular tourist attractions. This painting was displayed at The Gate Gallery, Cardiff during May and June 2014 during one of the artists solo exhibitions. The work is full of vibrancy and detail.
