Forest Stream in Springtime is one of Chris Langley’s best works. Many hours have been used to apply subtle tone and colours to create a sense of depth and atmosphere of a forest in springtime. In the distance, behind the trees, we see a golden sky merging into a pale blue tone. In the midground many trees, with multi colored foliage add further depth and interest. The forest river further draws the eye into the painting; reflecting trees in the water. Two figures stand on the riverside path to the right of the composition. “The more you look into this painting, the more you see”.
This work has been viewed by an international audience having been featured in his 2015 Welsh National Solo Exhibition.
